Great food, great wait staff, great city of Claremont

We came here as a group of 5 on our way through town. This diner is very old school and i loved the hometown atmosphere it had. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was made hot and fresh. The only things we didnt like - the space is pretty cramped. Generally you couldn't walk in any given direction without bumping into someone and a group of 5 barely fit into a booth. There was also a minor yelling match betweem two customers that got a bit heated that no staff members made an effort to stop but it resolved itself do all was fine in the end The food was good and we left happy, but just keep in mind, that a diner is a diner and you can expect certain hiccups here and there.

It's the best breakfast around! Recommend it highly!!

My wife and I went here after Andrew Yang unexpectedly caused a mob scene at the Country Cafe down the road, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how good it was! She got french toast and I got a kielbasa omelette, stellar! Also, I liked how lively it was, the people who work there seem like they're a tight knit team. We're absolutely going back.

Nice little diner- standard diner food, good breakfast.

Hmm the good or the bad first? We'll go with the bad and end on a good note. Ok cobwebs on window sill right next to my face. Stuffy and hot in here, course its a scorcher outside but there isnt much airflow through the diner. If you like french toast... wouldn't order it here. Lacking batter and pretty chewy. Taste was good although covered with real maple syrup. The good? Loved the atmosphere. Waitress super nice. Parking was easy and they now accept credit cards.

Cheap, good food, great service and fast!! Can't beat it really...one of the best places in the area to eat breakfast...I haven't been here for anything else.

Spent an hour in this quaint little diner never did eat. Would not return McDonald's is right up the road.

If you're in Claremont, then you have to eat here. Well prepared food and one of the best service there is. Only breakfast and lunch, though. Quaint little place.

As we were walking in waitress was walking out the door for a smoke break, she said there was a table in there and she'd be in after her break, table was empty but not wiped down and no menus until she came in from her break. After we ordered we waited 45 minutes thinking our food should be ready soon, my husband checked on it and was told they hadn't even started preparing it. We did not stay.

Cute place. Busy. Seemed to be filled with local people. Staff was nice.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ FOOD☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ SERVICE☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ AMBIANCE☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ PEOPLEI would be a daily customer if I lived in the area!!!To the person complaining about the lack of parking I suggest going back to 1941 (77 Years ago) and riding a horse there or perhaps rearrange the nifty old town to your liking.And to the one who complained about not taking credit cards, two of us went in and we both noticed the no credit card sign upon entering, maybe you should consider carrying 20 bucks with you for times like that.Wonderful experience, highly recommended!

This is an old school diner. Your cook takes the order and the food is made fresh and hot. The coffee is weak - like it should be. And I love watching the heroin addicts shamble around past the diner in the wee hours of the morning. The prices are good and I recommend the daily specials.

Cute little old fashioned dinner. There was a miscommunication between the waitress and cook, which happens, however the cook didn't handle it nicely and was rather nasty. The poor waitress was in tears. He needs to be calmer or find a other line of work! Will give it one more try.

What an adorable diner, they serve breakfast all day making it an easy choice to take my daughter here. Friendly staff, and great food. The Tuna Melt with their homemade hashbrowns was amazing. We will definitely go again!

The food is cooked right there on the grill and the food is great and the service is top notch.....Diner Food is the best

Would have been a 4 out of 5. The food was good the waitress was attentive and the cook made the food fresh and quickly. The only bad part was the entertainment of the dishwasher who was swearing, speaking loudly, and was making the quiet diner feel crowded with his over bearing tone and lack of person space.

Hands down best breakfast place in the area, I have been bringing my family here for years now. It's an authentic Diner that has been in the center of our town since 1941 oh, very cool and retro-looking has booth and counter seating and the food is to die for, the home fries are amazing and the chef will gladly put onions in them as well :-) the cook James, is extremely friendly and appears to know most of his patrons who have walked in there a few times even, they definitely make it feel like home there :-) if I could have given this place six stars I would have. <3

Was good, cheap.

Needs some major repairs to be up to code. This place has so much potential. No sanitary measures taken by the cook who uses bare hands to made burgers and everything else. The steam vent is not covered and has about an inch of black nasty dust directly beside cooking and food prep area. No way this passes food prep and other state laws. Someone is going to get seriously ill from this place.

Awesome little old school diner. On a weekend getaway, we spotted the diner the night before, and promised to eat there in the morning. Perfect choice! Excellent food, excellent service, and some seriously sweet people. We'll be back!!

Waitress said they had the state’s best hash browns. Took her up on that, and she was right. The rest of the breakfast was excellent, and the service very friendly. They don’t let your coffee get more than half empty. Best diner around without a question. Wish I lived closer.

Nice unique restaurant. Employees have zero respect for masks. Food took a while but they were busy. Needs some cleaning and bathroom is a little scary. However the food was really good. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, etc... over easy eggs were over cooked.
